If you dream of exploring unique landscapes, swimming in crystal clear waters and discovering postcard-perfect places, the Egadi Islands are waiting for you. A destination full of excitement, calm and unspoiled nature.
FAVIGNANA
The first island we encounter is Favignana, famous for its crystal clear waters and beautiful coves. Its current name comes from the wind Favonio, and its shape resembles that of a butterfly with outstretched wings, with at the center of the island the Montagna Grossa, also known as Monte di Santa Caterina.
Favignana is undoubtedly the most famous of the three islands that make up the Egadi archipelago. Its fame is due to its wonderful and unspoiled natural landscapes, the crystal-clear color of its sea and the numerous coves and heavenly beaches where you can spend unique moments: Cala Rossa, Cala Azzurra, Bue Marino, Lido Burrone and many others.
LEVANZO
Next is Levanzo, the smallest of the three, known anciently by various names such as Buccina, Forbantia and Djazirat' Al Yabisah among Arab geographers. The origin of its present name is uncertain, but it may derive from the method of water supply known as "lever up" or have a connection with the term "Laepantio." Levanzo is famous for its Faraglione, jagged coves, and picturesque fishing village.
Less famous than Favignana, yes! But no less beautiful! Levanzo offers - already from docking at the port - a breathtaking view of its morphology and colors. A seaside village where time seems to stand still. A unique island in which to enjoy silence and absolute peace. The Faraglione and its beach, Cala Fredda and Cala Minnola, are just a few of the many views that this island is ready to offer.
MARETTIMO
Finally there is Marettimo, the wildest and most unspoiled island, known in antiquity by various names including Hiera and Djazirat Malîtmah at the Arab geographers. Its present name may come from a combination of the words "sea" and "thyme," suggesting the abundance of thyme on the 'island.
The most remote, the most evocative, the most pristine, as well as the most difficult to describe. One must experience it firsthand to absorb the sensations and emotions it conveys to its visitors. It is famous for its sea caves (reachable only by sea) and for the charm of Cala Bianca, Finocchio Marino, Cala Conca and many others. This island is represented by the Monk Seal and surrounded by dolphins that often accompany us on the journey to reach it
